WINNIPEG, Manitoba — WINNIPEG, Manitoba — An EQ3 retail gallery will be the focal point of Palliser's presentations at both the Toronto and San Francisco winter markets.
"Dealers can walk into our showroom and see exactly what an EQ3 gallery would look like on their floor," said Peter Tielmann, vice president of marketing and sales.
In addition to product, the galleries will feature architectural elements and point-of-purchase materials. Palliser's Toronto space will contain a 2,000-square-foot EQ3 gallery; San Francisco's will be about 800 square feet.
Earlier this year, Palliser created an EQ3 division to market the contemporary midpriced furniture. The first EQ3 store opened here in late October.
"The Winnipeg store is a lab for us," said Michael McMullen, Palliser's vice president of retail operations. "We can test various products and concepts here. The successes will become part of EQ3 galleries scheduled to open beginning early in 2002."
At the Canadian Home Furnishings Market, Jan. 12-15, Palliser's space is in Hall 6 of the Toronto International Center of Commerce. At the San Francisco market, Jan. 18-21, the company will show in Suite 860, 1355 Market St.
