Legacy Classic nearly doubles market showroom

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, October 15, 2001

Case goods and occasional importer Legacy Classic Furniture has nearly doubled the size of its market showroom in the Furniture Plaza Building, to 14,000 square feet.

"The space is highly visible (on the second floor just above La-Z-Boy) and has arguably the easiest access of any space in the market building," said Kevin O'Connor, Legacy Classic president.

O'Connor said that Legacy Classic's steady sales growth has fueled the need for more space.

"Our business has been nothing short of phenomenal, even through the national crises of the last few weeks," he said. "We feel very blessed and fortunate. We look forward to helping all our dealers get business back to 'normal' at this market."

Merchandise Mart Properties Inc., which owns Furniture Plaza, renovated the building this year in connection with new construction next door. O'Connor said Legacy Classic's management has been "very pleased in working with Tom Mitchell and all the Furniture Plaza management."
