Dossenbach, Aktrin join as consultants

HIGH POINT — Research firm Aktrin Furniture Information Center and consultant Dossenbach Associates have combined resources to form consulting company Aktrin-Dossenbach Associates.
Targeted clients include furniture manufacturers and other producers of wood products, as well as suppliers, wholesalers, retailers and other participants in these industries.
Thomas Dossenbach, a furniture manufacturing veteran who formed Dossenbach Associates in 1996 in Sanford, N.C., will be managing director of Aktrin-Dossenbach, which will be based in High Point.
The new company will offer services in strategic planning and organization, domestic and international marketing, market research and analysis, distribution, finance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Aktrin Furniture Information Center, based in Oakville, Ontario, has conducted research and published reports on the industry since 1985.
"Many buyers of our off-the-shelf reports have approached us with the request for customized information and consulting services," said Stefan Wille, Aktrin's president and founder.
"We are now in a better position to meet our clients' needs with a complete range of services available under one roof," Wille said.
Aktrin and Dossenbach said they have built a network of local and international industry experts to complement their in-house capabilities.
