DREXEL, N.C. — Drexel Heritage is using in-store video monitors in a promotional campaign featuring Home & Garden Television in 200 stores nationwide.
Each Drexel Heritage store has a monitor that plays a videotape with a montage of homes and designs from five HGTV programs the company sponsors. The tapes also have tune-in spots for the shows and Drexel Heritage commercials.
Co-branded, in-store counter cards also support the video's information. The promotion continues through this month.
"Our customers are driven by their interest in the latest in home design and high style, which is why this in-store marketing campaign with HGTV is an ideal fit," said Dan Grow, Drexel Heritage president.
HGTV shows featured in the video include "Kitty Bartholomew: You're Home," "Dream Builders," "Decorating with Style," "Old Homes Restored" and "Interiors by Design with Chris Casson Madden."
"Drexel Heritage has been a terrific sponsor for HGTV programming in the past, and with this new in-store promotion we are taking the relationship to the next level," said Burton Jablin, president of HGTV.
HGTV reaches 73 million U.S. households. Internationally, it owns 33% of HGTV Canada and provides much of the Canadian network's programming. HGTV branded programming also can be seen in Japan, Australia, Thailand and the Philippines.
