GREENSBORO, N.C. — Kelly Crabtree has joined yarn producer Unifi as market manager, a new position.
She previously was merchandising and marketing manager for Tietex Interiors, formerly Burlington Inds.' upholstery fabric division before Tietex acquired it in 2002.
"I'm excited about this opportunity," Crabtree said. "I will be working with Wal-Mart's product development team and sourcing managers to develop product using Unifi's yarn."
Ikea North America
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. — Max Urban Hedberg has been named store manager for the Ikea store set to open this summer in Bloomington, Minn., across from the Mall of America. It will be the international specialty retailer's second store in the upper Midwest.
Hedberg joined Ikea in 1992 as store manager in Jonkoping, Sweden, and two years later was named store manager in Almhult, Sweden. He then moved to the United Kingdom and was store manager in Nottingham, England, for three years. Most recently, he was store manager of Ikea Bristol in England for two years.
"I cannot think of a more appropriate and more qualified store manager for this store in Bloomington than Max," said Ikea North America President Pernille Spiers-Lopez. "His retail experience in other countries, energy-level and creativity are a perfect mix for what Ikea needs to open a store where we already have a strong and loyal customer base."
