WANDO, S.C. — WANDO, S.C. — Manufacturer and importer Bauer International has signed a licensing agreement to become the official clubhouse furnishings provider for the Professional Golfers Assn. of America, and will launch its PGA of America Collection for retail distribution at the October market.
The collection will include 10 to 15 pieces, mostly seating, tables and an ottoman using materials including leather and mahogany. The licensing agreement runs through 2007.
"Our unique collection evokes the golden age of 19th century clubs and hotels," said President Kenneth Bauer. "We have had the pleasure of helping many of the country's finest clubs create an escape from the ordinary for their members and guests. It is an honor to be asked by the PGA of America to share our distinctive furnishings with its professionals."
Price points for the PGA collection are expected to be consistent with the rest of Bauer International's line, with a sofa retailing at about $3,800. The company also is the exclusive clubhouse furnishings supplier to the PGA Country Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Bauer designs, produces and imports residential, contract and resort furniture of materials including rattan, mahogany, leather and seagrass. Its current line has 10 collections and more than 1,000 pieces.
