LAS VEGAS — The World Market Center has hired Jim Reding as tenant improvement director, a newly created post.
"Jim's responsibility will be to ensure that our exhibitors have everything they need to meet the construction and completion schedule, which will ultimately reflect in a successful grand opening in July 2005," said Dave Palmer, general manager of the planned $1 billion World Market Center, where construction has begun.
Reding was assistant general manager of the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort here, where he was responsible for strategic planning, business development and operations of the 500,000-square-foot shopping mall on the Las Vegas strip. He oversaw tenant construction, leasing, guest services and maintenance operations.
At WMC, Reding said his first priority is to develop relationships with each of the 230 exhibitors in the project's first phase. He plans to issue a comprehensive tenant handbook to guide exhibitors on the build-out of their showrooms.
