Dotterer joins Kravet's Portfolio in design post

NEW YORK — NEW YORK — Kathy Dotterer has joined the Portfolio Textiles division of Kravet as director of wovens design, a new position.
Burt Kaplan, president of Portfolio, said Dotterer's "sense of style, color understanding and construction expertise will enable us to further differentiate Portfolio from the competition as we refocus the business on selling piece goods."
Dotterer, previously director of design at Elizabeth Weaving for 15 years, said she will be based in Gastonia, N.C., and will work closely with furniture manufacturers.
