Kincaid opens stores, galleries

Kincaid Furniture, a maker of solid-wood case goods and custom upholstery, has opened seven dealer-owned Kincaid Home Furnishings stores and 11 in-store galleries in the United States and Canada.

Calgary, Alberta, has a 5,306-square-foot Kincaid store on Northland Drive NW, co-owned by Cam Davidson and Ken Penner.

The 5,873-square-foot store in Montgomery, Ala., on Atlanta Highway is owned by Bill Morris.

A 14,301-square-foot store owned by David Barrett is on South Hulen in Fort Worth, Texas.

Charleston, S.C., is home to a 15,000-square-foot store on Sam Rittenburg Boulevard. It is co-owned by Richard Riley and Ross Fletcher, who also own a 15,000-square-foot Kincaid store in Greenville, S.C.

In Scottsdale, Ariz., on North Scottsdale Road, a 15,000-square-foot store is owned by Tom Thompson, who also owns a 20,362-square-foot store in Chandler, Ariz.

Mark VanArsdel owns a 15,000-square-foot Kincaid store in Omaha, Neb., on South 72nd Street.

A 13,493-square-foot store, co-owned by Neel Kadakia and Sarit Kadakia, is located in Wilmington, Del., on Concord Pike.

Kincaid's in-store program encompasses the traditional Kincaid installations and the Laura Ashley Home galleries, featuring Laura Ashley licensed product. Installations currently total 141.

The newest Kincaid openings are:

  • Academy Furniture, Albuquerque, N.M., 4,000 square feet.

  • Alden's Furniture, Lewis Center, Ohio, 5,000 square feet.

  • Bloom Brothers, Richmond, Va., 6,272 square feet.

  • Furniture Warehouse Design Gallery, Beaufort, S.C., 3,200 square feet.

  • Home Furniture, Southhaven, Tenn., 6,000 square feet.

  • John Kirk Furniture, Indianapolis, 3,000 square feet.

  • Main Street Furniture, Danville, Ky., 3,000 square feet.

  • North Furniture, North, S.C., 3,700 square feet.

The newest Laura Ashley Home galleries are:

  • Carolina Place, Fort Pierce, Fla., 6,000 square feet.

  • Furniture Collection, Naples, Fla., 2,400 square feet.

  • Wonderful Things, Savannah, Ga., 2,400 square feet.
