WHFA debuts Solutions idea sessions for retailers

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — The Western Home Furnishings Assn.'s Solutions Interactive Network Meeting series will debut Jan. 13 with an event hosted by manufacturer and longtime WHFA supporter Sandberg Furniture.
Solutions meetings, to be held during the year in various western cities, feature an open discussion of challenges that retailers face.
Topics include trends in sales management, proven management ideas, compensation planning, and performance evaluation and management.
The Jan. 13 event is open to all home furnishings retailers in greater Los Angeles. Registration is $25 and includes lunch. Registration begins at 11 a.m. at the Sandberg plant, 5685 Alcoa, Los Angeles, with the meeting at 11:30 a.m. and a facilities tour at 2:30 p.m.
Bill Dugan, managing director of Profit Groups, will facilitate. Larry Miller of Sit N' Sleep, Carson, Calif., will be the retailer host.
Other Solutions meetings are planned for Feb. 24 in Seattle; March 30 in Ventura, Calif.; April 13 in North Bay, Calif.; June 22 in Denver; Sept. 28 in Spokane, Wash.; Oct. 26 in Ontario, Calif.; and Nov. 9 in Sacramento, Calif.
