Bob's gets state honor

Manchester, Conn. — Bob's Discount Furniture has been honored as Connecticut's 2003 Retailer of the Year.
The Connecticut Retail Merchants Assn. presented the award at a luncheon in Hartford, Conn. The award honors one company each year for exceptional customer and community service.
Bob's, based in Manchester, has 11 stores and a distribution center in Connecticut, making up the bulk of the 18-store New England chain. The retailer, which ranks No. 42 on Furniture/ Today's listing of Top 100 furniture stores, plans to open two more stores in the next six months.
"On behalf of the entire Bob's team, we proudly accept this prestigious award and thank all who made this possible," said President Bob Kaufman.
