New York — The International Contemporary Furniture Fair has issued an open call for design schools to apply for four exhibition spaces at the next market. The deadline for entry is Oct. 31.
The show is set for May 15–18, 2004, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
Entries must include a concept description, with original products and prototypes designed by students. Submissions will be reviewed and judged by editors from Abitare, Domus, Frame, Interni, Intramuros, Metropolis and Wallpaper magazines.
Each of the chosen schools will be provided a 200-square-foot booth space, a white hardwall modular unit with name sign and waste bin. Arrangements and costs of labor, lighting and shipping will be the school's responsibility.
The schools chosen for inclusion will be announced Nov. 14.
Submissions for consideration should be mailed to George Little Management, Ten Bank Street, White Plains, N.Y. 10606-1954, Attn: Kara Tobin.
