Jamestown, N.Y. — Mark Phanco has joined Bush North America as vice president of home furnishings, a new position for the maker of flat-pack and assembled furniture. He reports to Dave White, president of Bush North America.
With responsibility for the Bush Home Furnishings division, Phanco will be looking to cultivate business with furniture retailers, electronics superstores that sell furniture, and other retail channels. With its new line of Eric Morgan assembled case goods, Bush is looking to increase its business with furniture retailers.
Phanco won't be working with Bush's largest distribution channel, office products superstores, which fall under the Bush Business Furniture division.
He comes to Bush from Ashley Home Stores, where his responsibilities included retail development and sales in the Millennium division. He previously worked at Pier 1 Imports and Foley's department stores.
"Mark brings a solid understanding of the home furnishings industry and a keen awareness of retail," White said. "He also has a strong background in case goods, which we will draw heavily on as we position our Eric Morgan line for continued growth."
