Natuzzi consolidates sales regions

High Point — Natuzzi Americas has restructured its sales force by consolidating six sales territories into four.
The Italian upholstery giant has eliminated the regional vice president positions held by Les Herman in the South and Alex Cavotti in Latin America. Both executives have left the company, said Fred Starr, president of Natuzzi Americas.
Gary Greenbaum, vice president of sales and marketing for what was Natuzzi's Northeast region, now called the Eastern region, has added responsibilities for parts of the South. His territory, which formerly extended to Virginia, now reaches south to Florida.
Midwest regional vice president John Iasiello has assumed the balance of Herman's territory south of Missouri, including Louisiana and Texas.
Hugh Landes, vice president of sales and marketing for the Western region, has assumed Cavotti's sales role in Latin America.
The responsibilities of Marcel Villeneuve, vice president of sales and marketing for Canada, remain unchanged.
All four regional vice presidents continue to report to John Phillips, executive vice president of sales for Natuzzi Americas.
"Not only did we want to reduce our expenses, but also to allow our sales representatives to assume greater responsibilities," Starr said.
Natuzzi has 50 reps in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
"We deeply appreciate the contributions that Les and Alex have made and we wish them the very best," Starr said. Herman joined Natuzzi from Elite Leather five years ago, while Cavotti came from Ashley nearly three years ago.
