Carroll elected Hall of Fame president

High Point — Joe Carroll, publisher of Furniture/Today, has been elected president of the American Furniture Hall of Fame for 2003–2004.
Other AFHF officers are Clarence H. Smith, president of Haverty Furniture, first vice president; Steve Kincaid, president of Kincaid Furniture, second vice president; and Roy Briggs, industry consultant, secretary/treasurer.
Newly elected to the board of directors are Randy Austin, president of Hickory White; Don Belgrad, chairman and chief executive officer of Schnadig; Bill Child, CEO of R.C. Willey; and industry veteran Alan Cole.
Board members continuing their terms are Russell Bienenstock, Furniture World; Jerome Bolick, Southern Furniture of Conover; J. Donald Coleman, Hickory Springs Mfg.; Rob Culp, Culp; Kurt Darrow Sr., La-Z-Boy; Donald Dreher, DMI; Rodney England, England; Eric Henshaw, Kingsdown; Leroy Lail, Hickory Furniture Mart; Elkin McCallum, Joan Fabrics; Larry Parnell, Oakwood Interiors; and Joe Richardson III, Richardson Inds.
