Four Hands promotes Briggs

Austin, Texas — Imports by Four Hands has promoted Matthew Briggs to chief operations officer.
Briggs has been director of operations since joining the furniture importer in 2001. Prior to that, the South Africa native was president of Caravanserai Home Furnishings & Imports in Breckenridge, Colo., one of Four Hands' top 10 customers. He also has been a professional photographer.
Company Vice President Hank Cravey had been serving as chief operations officer, but will shift to chief financial officer, a new position for the seven-year-old company. Cravey remains vice president.
