Harold Perlmutter, retailer

Lebanon, Pa. — Veteran retailer Harold Perlmutter died here last Sept. 17. He was 92.
He founded Harold's Home Furnishings in Lebanon, Pa., in 1946. In 1975, his son, Stuart Perlmutter, joined the business and in 1979, the store moved to a 40,000-square-foot building that had been the original Levitz Family Furniture store. In 1985, the store became one of the first furniture stores to enter the home office furniture market. Harold Perlmutter retired in 1991.
He is survived by two sons, including Stuart Perlmutter, president of Har-old's Furniture.
