Consumers Digest lists bedding 'Best Buys'

Skokie, Ill. — Consumers Digest magazine surveyed the bedding marketplace and selected almost a dozen beds for its "Best Buys" designation. It made its recommendations in three categories: premium, midrange and economy.
The publication, based here, said the beds it listed in its March/April issue are "selected, highly recommended sleep sets."
These are the Best Buys the magazine listed, along with the price information it listed for the beds:

Premium category: Dux (price range: $3,700–$6,500) and Stearns & Foster Bonne Nuit (best price: $4,000).

Midrange category: Tempur-Pedic (price range: $1,499–$1,899), Simmons Beautyrest (price range: $599–$999), Simmons Backcare (price range: $499–$1,000), Serta Perfect Sleeper (price range: $499–$1,999), Sealy Posturepedic (price range: $499–$1,499), Spring Air Back Supporter (price range: $599–$2,400), Restonic Comfort Care (price range: $499–$1,399) and Select Comfort Sleep Number (price range: $499–$3,000).
