Raymond F. Kennedy, Masco president, COO
Taylor, Mich. — Raymond F. Kennedy, president and chief operating officer of Masco, died unexpectedly last week of a heart attack at his home. He was 60.
"Ray was a leader who was loved, admired and respected by all who knew him," said Richard Manoogian, Masco chairman and chief executive officer.
Manoogian will assume Kennedy's responsibilities on an interim basis. Masco, a home improvement and building products producer, owns furniture manufacturers Mill's Pride, Tvilum-Scanbirk and dScan. Kennedy joined Masco in 1978 and had been president and COO since 1996.
He is survived by his wife, three sons and 11 grandchildren.

Mike Gavronsky, Furniture Mart president
Jacksonville, Fla. — Mike Gavronsky, a 31-year industry veteran and president of three-store Furniture Mart here, has died. He was 54.
Gavronsky was born in Germany and was a longtime resident of Jacksonville.
He is survived by his wife, his mother, a son, two daughters, two brothers, two sisters, a grandchild and many nieces and nephews. His wife, Chris, sister Helen Mock and daughter Sarah Cantor are active in the business, and brother Aaron Gavronsky is a partner in Furniture Mart.
