Bedding coverage expands

High Point — Welcome to the expanding world of bedding coverage in your favorite weekly business newspaper.
This new editorial feature will become a regular part of our bedding coverage this year. We are calling it Bedding Benchmarks because it will cover a variety of notable news and feature items. We will be reporting on events large and small in Mattress Land U.S.A.
Frankly, we've seen the need for this new feature for some time now. It seems that there are always more things going on in the bedding industry than we can get to each week. This will give us all a place to catch up on some interesting bedding developments, in a focused presentation.
It is our hope that by running these news and feature stories together under the Bedding Benchmarks banner, we can call more attention to them than the items might attract if they ran separately in our news pages. Bedding Benchmarks will give them a good home, we believe.
This new feature won't change any of the regular bedding features you've come to expect in the pages of Furniture/Today. I will still write my weekly bedding column, and will continue to tackle major bedding issues in the special reports that appear throughout the year. And, of course, I will continue to report on major news developments in bedding in the news columns of Furniture/Today.
But now you've got another place to find bedding news: On this page. Thirteen of these features are scheduled to run this year. Look for the Bedding Benchmarks logo.
