Greensboro, N.C. — The woodworking industry will gather here Feb. 20-21 for the 2003 Carolinas Industrial Woodworking Expo.
This year's show includes a roundtable discussion focusing on the furniture industry and a variety of educational sessions.
"Our goal with the 2003 Carolinas Expo is to set a new standard," said Keith Eidson, president of show organizer TSI. "We've re-energized our focus on service to guests and exhibitors, as well as bringing together top-notch educational sessions and quality events to attract more woodworkers."
Two roundtable discussions are planned, with industry experts looking at The Future of American Furniture Making on Feb. 20 and Outsourcing for Domestic and Global Suppliers, targeted at small cabinet shop owners, on Feb. 21.
Another feature of the show is the G.R.A.B.S. (Go Right Ahead, Build Something) Cabinet Assembly Competition. Contestants are timed on how fast they can assemble a 30-by 30-inch cabinet box from pre-machined components. The contest is free and open to any qualified cabinetmaker, and preregistration is required.
