Springfield, Mo. — Decorize, a high-tech source of home furnishings products for retailers whose brands are Faith Walk, Guildmaster and decorize.com, has added three senior executives in the United States, four managers in Asia and a board member.
The executives are Chris Cleckler as vice president of product development, Cindy Emerman as product director and Steve Nurnberg as general operations manager.
Cleckler most recently worked at Avon Home Products as director of design and product development, and also has designed products for Mikasa, Thomasville and Thomas Kinkade. He has 20 years experience in the Far East developing merchandise and helping set up factories.
Emerman was a senior buyer for 12-store, New Orleans-based furniture retailer Kirschman's. Nurnberg most recently was executive vice president of operations at Americom Inc.
In Asia, the company has named Eric Wu as general manager in China and appointed three product managers — Jay Guittierez in the Philippines, Bruce Macleod in Indonesia and Kopong (who uses one name) in Thailand and Vietnam.
"We are delighted to fill key positions with such experienced, well-qualified people," said Jon Baker, Decorize chief executive officer.
The company also has named John E. Bagalay Jr. to its board of directors, expanding the board to seven members. Bagalay, senior advisor to the chancellor of Boston University, was formerly president and CEO of Cytogen Corp., and is a director of Wave System Corp., both publicly held companies. He has experience as a lawyer, corporate executive, venture capitalist and financier.
"He is ideally suited to be the 'financial expert' board member required by recent legislation. We look forward to him helping us achieve our ambitious growth objectives," Baker said.
