Bay Furniture helps St. Jude home

Chicago — Bay Furniture here partnered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to furnish the new St. Jude Dream Home at Terra Springs in Volo, Ill.
The entire home, including land and furnishings, was raffled off during a TV broadcast on June 27. Beforehand, the home was open to the public and as many as 10,000 visitors were expected to tour it.
Bay Furniture's donation included room packages for the bedrooms, living room, dining room and family room. Bay is a Cornerstone Sponsor of the dream home, the program's highest level of sponsorship.
"We are extremely grateful to Bay Furniture for these generous donations," said Peter Bower, senior event marketing representative for St. Jude. "Having the home totally equipped with such quality furnishings added greatly to our fund-raising ability."
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., has treated children stricken with cancer at no cost to their families since 1952. The St. Jude Dream Home campaigns have raised more than $30 million over the past 12 years for St. Jude and ranks among their top fund-raising programs nationwide.
Bay Furniture is a six-store, family-run business owned by Barry Slovy and his sons, Rick and Larry Slovy.
