Morristown, Tenn. — Dal Eckard will retire Feb. 29 as executive vice president and chief marketing officer of motion and stationary upholstery manufacturer Berkline BenchCraft, the company has announced.
Eckard joined Berkline BenchCraft in 1995 and headed its sales and marketing team during a period of significant growth, the company said.
"Dal has been very instrumental in our growth and helped guide the company's development of several new and innovative products," said Berkline President and CEO Bill Wittenberg. "I appreciate his loyalty, commitment and hard work during his many years of service and wish him much happiness in his retirement."
With Eckard's retirement, Grey Hunsucker is promoted from regional sales vice president to vice president and national sales manager, with responsibility for leading the sales team.
Richard Tickle and Jack Tidwell, regional sales vice presidents, report to Hunsucker.
Hunsucker and Bruce Sinning, vice president of merchandising, report to Wittenberg.
In addition, fabric industry veteran Doug Henderson has joined Berkline BenchCraft as director of new business development. Henderson, previously with Milliken and Co., MasterCraft and Tietex International, reports to Hunsucker.
"Doug brings a wealth of industry experience to our team," Wittenberg said. "This addition will strengthen our sales and marketing efforts as we move the company forward."
