Room Inspirations to show 9 new groups in Tupelo

Tupelo, Miss. — Room Inspirations says it has seen strong growth in its container-direct motion upholstery business, spurred by the addition of bonded leather covers two years ago.
"Ninety-nine percent of our value is in bonded leather," Vice President Bo Johnson said. The company also offers polyurethane and a smattering of leather covers.
The four-year-old Eva, Ala.-based company, which targets Top 300 retailers, wholesalers and manufacturers, will offer nine new groups at this week's Tupelo Furniture Market in its Tupelo Building showroom, space 1914.
Room Inspirations sells only by container and has no plans for warehouse distribution.
"We prefer to pass values directly to customers and to be fluid," said Johnson. "The ability to mix containers allows us to service more retailers than those vendors who are unwilling to mix containers."
The motion segment, made up of mostly married frames, is priced aggressively with a double reclining sofa in bonded leather retailing from about $599 to $699.
Room Inspirations, which also offers some stationary styles, features pocketed coil seat cushions on most frames.
Other Tupelo intros include:
-
Genie (#702W), a contemporary sectional with removable back cushions and sculpted front rail covered in high impact fabric. A matching oversized ottoman mirrors the front rail's curves. Retail, $999.
-
Fusion (#670L), a modular sectional covered in leather-like polyurethane, featuring "quick connect" modular joints. Retail, $999 to $1,299.
In addition to Johnson, the company's key personnel include Arthur Berman, managing director of Chinese operations, and David Jarrett, a veteran industry design consultant. Room Inspirations, which has nationwide distribution, also shows in High Point.
