The drawing will be held after market, and the winner will receive a $2,000 American Express travel credit and be treated to an exclusive, private tour led by Museum Director Hoyt Fields.

Strategy: Bedroom introductions build on transitional design strength, a huge growth segment last year. Weston is its first venture into dining in years and extends the group, which was its fastest-growing line in 2007.

Marketing programs: Offering customers special care packages, running an extensive e-blast campaign through all the major trade press, direct mail, and conducting in-market giveaways. Simplifying pricing, along with an across-the-board price reduction of 5% to 15% plus printed pricing categories for container direct, container plus duty, West Coast warehouse, and East Coast warehouse — designed to suit accounts of all sizes and needs.

Marketing: As a founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council, most of its collections are manufactured out of plantation mango wood.

Included are a round-to-oval French Provincial extension table with a hand-rubbed safe base, cherry top and cabriole legs; a flip-top console that can convert to a six-seat dining table with a rubbed gray-washed finish; classic Louis XVI chairs; and French country round bistro table with pedestal base and highly distressed cream lacquer finish.

  • The Library, Old World dining with new world comfort; warm finishes, marquetry, carvings and generous silhouettes; features a double-pedestal Tuscan-flavored dining group with a rubbed Farnese finish; ladder-back dining chairs; and serving buffet.

  • Mission, commemorative Gus bookcase, a reissue of a 1901 Gustav Stickley design. An original sold in Dec. 2007 at Sotheby's in New York City for more than $360,000. The Gus Tabouret table features a hexagonal top inlaid with tile. Each side is fitted with a pair of corbels. The medium-sized four splat rocker is a reissue of a 1910 original. A 52-inch kitchen island has a hard maple butcher-block top or black granite top. A gathering table extends to 56 inches with a 16-inch leaf. The Argyle Street bistro table is 36 inches square, with carved and pierced legs positioned on the diagonal.

  • St. Croix, additions reflect Caribbean, North American and European influences from earlier centuries. Pieces include a poster bed with twisted and carved posts and a carved headboard, a single dresser, a 54-inch table desk, a 50-inch cocktail table, and a lamp table with drawer.

  • Antiquities Accents, a new collection of casual occasional pieces that includes a 48-inch round pedestal cocktail table with a marquetry top of quartered English brown oak and Carpathian elm burl, a 36-inch square game table, a 52-inch sofa table, a storage cocktail table with bookcase ends, and a chairside table. Also has a 52-inch English oak pedestal table with parquet top as well as 68-inch high armoire for the Stickley Starters youth line.

  • Metropolitan, debuts a 56-inch gathering table with boat-shaped top, a practical kitchen island, a 64-inch open china top, and home entertainment pieces that may be used separately or grouped as a wall system.

Strategy: This year marks the 150th anniversary of Mission creator Gustav Stickley's birth, and his company celebrates by bringing back some classic Mission designs.
