Juried shows set for Vegas

By Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, May 5, 2008

More than 200 exhibitors will present design-inspired products in three juried showcases at the Las Vegas Market, July 28–Aug. 1, according to market organizers.

Design & Living, ConText and Living Green Pavilion spaces will be on the fifth floor of the World Market Center's new Building C, which will open at the summer show.

Market officials said the juried shows will have a strong international flavor.

  • Design & Living will convey a hip feel in 40,000 square feet of exhibit space. More than 100 companies will show furniture, décor and lighting in styles ranging from traditional to contemporary.

  • ConText, which debuted at the winter Las Vegas Market, will showcase home textiles and bedding in a 13,000-square-foot space.

  • The Living Green Pavilion will return for its third Vegas market featuring sustainable furnishings or furniture using materials that can be renewed through natural processes.

"We're thrilled to be moving these highly acclaimed showcases from their previous temporary exhibit locations to the Las Vegas Design Center in conjunction with the opening of Building C," said Tim Branscome, vice president of international business development at the World Market Center.

Manufacturers interested in learning criteria to exhibit in the juried showcases can e-mail design@lasvegasmarket.com.
