Dallas — The Dallas Market Center has promoted Jane R. Robertson to executive vice president of marketing from senior vice president of marketing. She will continue to lead the marketing department and will join the DMC's executive committee.
"Over the past five years, Jane has been instrumental in many of the most important company initiatives, including the successful launch of FashionCenterDallas, marketing initiatives including the new You Can't Miss Red brand campaign, and the development and introduction of our custom publications," said Cindy Morris, chief operating officer.
Robertson, who also has worked in retail management, was the market center's vice president of advertising and research for two years in the late '80s, then returned in 2003 and has since held several positions in the marketing department.

Hulshof Leather USA
Hickory, N.C. — Lisa Medeiros has been named head of national sales and design for Hulshof Leather USA, a new position.
Medeiros has worked in the home furnishings and design industry for more than 10 years, most recently with Boyles Furniture here. The company said her role will be to capture market share and expand the Holland-based company's presence in the United States.
Medeiros will concentrate on the architectural and design trade, according to Operations Director Jeffrey Shortridge.
Valdese Weavers
Valdese, N.C. — Bob Walters has joined fabric supplier Valdese Weavers as vice president of customer relations, a new position.
Walters most recently was senior vice president of creative and retail design at Thomasville Furniture.
"We are excited to have Bob on our team. Our intention is to take our service capabilities to a new level," said Mike Shelton, president of Valdese.
Walters reports to Snyder Garrison, chief financial officer.
Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills
Garfield, N.J. — Linda Long, marketing director for Bella-Dura fabrics, has been named a sales representative in the Southeast to cultivate the casual and marine industry for Wearbest Sil-Tex Mills, the makers of Bella-Dura.
She continues in her marketing role for Bella-Dura.
"Linda has a very strong textile sales, marketing and performance fabric background, having held similar positions with Crypton and Guilford Mills," said Irwin Gasner, Wearbest president and CEO. He said the Bella Dura fabrics will offer performance and environmentally friendly aspects to the casual and marine markets.
