LAS VEGAS — The Specialty Sleep Assn. will open a permanent 15,000-square-foot showroom in World Market Center's Building C this summer, the association announced. The SSA had been exhibiting in temporary space at the Las Vegas Market.
It said the showroom, space 1350, will display a range of innovative specialty sleep products.
“Memory foam, latex, air, gel, water, adjustable, natural and organic bedding products continue to fuel the growth of the bedding industry,” said SSA President Dale Read. “This category is expected to reach 40% market share by the end of 2010. Specialty sleep is on fire and this new space will represent a more dynamic and convenient showcase for manufacturers and suppliers to meet and do business with retailers.”
Since the World Market Center opened several years ago, the SSA has contracted for temporary space for its members in the WMC's Pavilion showrooms.
“Our new space will not only be a showcase for our members, but will allow us to have a more active presence that we can use to promote the category. It will be much more of a destination for retail buyers than in the past,” said Read.
