Tenn. Buying Group adopts new name

BELLS, Tenn.—The Tennessee Buying Group has changed its name to The Buying Giant or TBG.
Bethel Poston, marketing director, said the change was made because the organization now represents 70 storefronts not just in Tennessee but also in Kentucky, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri. The group's stores have combined sales of more than $100 million.
Buyers can visit TBG's space at the Aug. 21-24 Tupelo Furniture Market (Tupelo Building 5, space 5030) to see some of the goods currently available to members. The member-owned group also will hold its regular market membership meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, in the Magnolia Room of Tupelo Building 3.
