Klaussner launching hospitality business unit

Gary Evans -- Furniture Today, August 4, 2008

Residential manufacturer, importer and retailer Klaussner Home Furnishings is launching a contract division focusing on hospitality with a full range of sofas, loveseats, chairs, sofa-sleepers, sectionals, chaises and ottomans.

Ron Werner, recently appointed as director of contract furnishings and a 30-year contract veteran, will lead the division and spearhead the sales initiative in the hospitality industry.

Klaussner Contract Furnishings will show at the Hospitality Design Boutique Expo & Conference in Miami Beach in September.

"Our new contract division will focus on the same commitment that has always set Klaussner apart," said J.B. Davis, president and CEO. "We will offer quality contract products that can be customized at a value price point with one of the fastest delivery times in the industry."

The company said that its ability to produce on the West Coast, the East Coast and in the Midwest will have help hold down freight costs.

"Because of the enormous production capacity from our factories in California, Iowa and North Carolina, our suppliers and our commitment to meeting delivery deadlines, we will be able to satisfy the unique needs of contract accounts," Werner said.
