ARCHDALE, N.C. — Halo, a Hong Kong-based manufacturer of leather upholstery and occasional and dining room furniture, has purchased a 50% ownership stake in antique reproduction specialist G&J Styles.
The deal was announced in July and completed at the Las Vegas Market, which ended Aug. 1.
Officials did not reveal the purchase price or other terms of the transaction. The deal leaves the remaining 50% ownership in the hands of husband-and-wife team Glyn and Jill Styles, whose company is based in Archdale.
“Everybody was very happy,” said Richard Jordan, G&J chief operating officer. “There are lots of new ideas coming out to move the marketing forward.”
He said the companies are working on a line of sustainable, rustic-style furniture made from reclaimed woods and iron. “It's a transitional crossover look, a new concept in lifestyle living,” Jordan said.
