Warner wins design award

STONINGTON, Maine — Furniture designer Geoffrey Warner has won the Maine Crafts Assn. Director's Award for his entry in the annual MCA members' exhibition, which was curated by Daniel Kany at his gallery in Portland, Maine.
Warner's winning design was a jewelry cabinet hand-made from birds-eye maple and Spanish cedar, which retails for $3,900.
Warner showed his furniture at the spring High Point Market through the Cultural Embassy, a showroom in a former gas station at the intersection of Kivett, Elm and English streets. His designs can be seen online at www.culturalembassy.com.
